Hostel 'is a film considered by many a masterpiece splatter-horror film. I was advised by people who "invasatissime" comparing it to my jewel "Saw." And I think they were wrong.
I feel to say that "Hostel" is anything but a masterpiece, the lack of some fundamental aspects that do not allow him to take even the sufficiency!
If you want to consider as a splatter movie, must see blood, cuts and so on. Why is this what the audience expects. In "Hostel" splatter scenes are few and badly constructed. You see only the cries of teenagers, and nothing more. When something is going to happen, the director really wants to not take it back, and focus on the character's face pussy (or on his body).
History has many cracks and does not follow a logical, if analyzed carefully. Lacks an explanation as to why the murderer had to pay all that money to torture the boys. In short, it is easier (and cheaper) to kidnap and make them what they want?! XD
There is no psychological analysis of this and the move away from "Saw", where you enter in the minds of each character.
the most ridiculous thing, and 'I read that if you wanted to see "Hostel" film, were given a bag for any feeling of nausea caused by the film. But svegliateviiii! =)
