The plot is not 'too original, and in fact I' from the beginning seemed too inspired by the more 'old' Amytiville Horror "haunted house, with a terrible history, evil spirits, etc. ...
The techniques used by the director are not new. In any event, and 'a film that makes a lot of jumping from his chair, with plenty of twists in tune with music and sounds of' effect. And though at times you expect and you know that something will happen, never in a position to not be afraid just for that nanosecond! =)
It is a sobering film, but 'certainly scary shots to the plot, though seems to be obvious and sometimes plagiarized, it becomes feature the last half hour.
Council to see the movie for those who are content to have only moments of fear in some twists, classic American horror. All in all, "The Haunting" is more than watchable.
